GENERAL AGREEMENT

This document is an agreement between Purrfect Neighbour and the Client. For the purposes of this agreement, Purrfect Neighbour and any authorized staff members providing services on its behalf will be collectively referred to as "Purrfect Neighbour.

Purrfect Neighbour is authorized to perform the pet care services outlined in this agreement. The terms of this agreement shall apply only to the pet(s) for which services have been requested and agreed upon.

Purrfect Neighbour agrees to provide services in a reliable, caring, and trustworthy manner. The Client acknowledges that pet care involves inherent risks and agrees that Purrfect Neighbour shall not be liable for loss, injury, damage, delay, or expense arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

If a medical emergency arises, Purrfect Neighbour will make every effort to contact the Client before seeking treatment for the pet(s). However, if time is of the essence or the Client cannot be reached, the Client authorizes Purrfect Neighbour to seek veterinary care for the pet(s).

The Client agrees to reimburse Purrfect Neighbour for all reasonable expenses incurred as a result of emergency treatment, transportation, or related services. The Client releases Purrfect Neighbour from liability related to transportation, treatment, and associated expenses.

MEDICATION

While reasonable efforts will be made to administer medication according to the Client's instructions, successful administration depends on the pet's temperament and willingness to cooperate.

Purrfect Neighbour reserves the right to discontinue medication attempts if doing so would pose a safety risk to the pet or caregiver. If medication cannot be safely administered, Purrfect Neighbour will notify the Client as soon as reasonably possible.

VACCINATIONS & PET HEALTH

The Client is responsible for ensuring that all pets receive appropriate veterinary care and for disclosing any known medical conditions, illnesses, injuries, behavioural concerns, aggressive tendencies, escape tendencies, or other information that may affect the safety and care of the pet(s).

Where required by law, regulation, insurance requirements, or the specific service being provided, the Client agrees to maintain current vaccinations or equivalent veterinary documentation for their pet(s).

If Purrfect Neighbour or a third party is bitten, scratched, or otherwise injured by the Client's pet(s), the Client agrees to pay all resulting medical expenses, costs, and lost wages. The Client further agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Purrfect Neighbour against claims arising from injuries caused by the Client's pet(s).

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

The Client agrees to provide complete and accurate care instructions for all pets receiving services. Purrfect Neighbour shall not be responsible for issues arising from inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or omitted information provided by the Client.

PROPERTY & HOME CARE

Purrfect Neighbour shall not be responsible for damage to property owned by the Client or third parties resulting from pets, weather, mechanical failures, utility interruptions, third parties, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, water leaks, plumbing issues, electrical failures, appliance malfunctions, and household incidents that occur during the service period.

The Client is solely responsible for ensuring that the home and yard are reasonably pet-safe.

HOME ACCESS

The Client agrees to provide accurate and functional access information, including keys, lockboxes, garage codes, alarm codes, or other entry methods necessary to perform services.

Purrfect Neighbour shall not be responsible for missed visits, delays, or additional expenses resulting from incorrect, missing, or non-functional access information. Additional fees may apply if access cannot be gained due to circumstances outside Purrfect Neighbour's control.

If any other person, including family members, friends, neighbours, contractors, cleaners, or maintenance personnel, will have access to the property during the service period, the Client agrees to notify Purrfect Neighbour in advance.

Purrfect Neighbour shall not be liable for damages to property or pets resulting from the actions of third parties who have access to the home during the service period.

FENCED YARDS & OUTDOOR ACCESS

If pets are given access to a backyard, fenced area, balcony, patio, or other outdoor space, Purrfect Neighbour cannot guarantee that such areas are completely secure.

Purrfect Neighbour shall not be liable for pets that escape, become injured, become lost, or die while using such areas, except where caused by the negligence of Purrfect Neighbour.

DOG WALKS

All dogs shall remain on leash while under the care of Purrfect Neighbour unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

VISIT TIMING

While every effort will be made to accommodate the Client's preferred visit times, exact visit times cannot be guaranteed due to traffic, weather, emergencies, pet care needs, and other scheduling considerations.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, visits may occur up to one hour before or after the requested time.

SERVICE REFUSAL

Purrfect Neighbour reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services at any time if a pet poses a safety risk to itself, other animals, members of the public, or Purrfect Neighbour staff.

This includes, but is not limited to, aggressive behaviour, repeated escape attempts, unsafe living conditions, undisclosed medical concerns, or situations where proper care cannot be safely provided.

HOME SECURITY

Purrfect Neighbour shall not be liable for loss or damage resulting from burglary, vandalism, or other criminal acts.

The Client agrees to properly secure the home before departure and provide any necessary written instructions regarding locks, alarm systems, security systems, or other home security measures.

WEATHER & UNFORESEEN EVENTS

In the event of severe weather, natural disaster, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, public emergencies, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control, Purrfect Neighbour will use its best judgment in caring for the Client's pets and home.

Purrfect Neighbour shall not be held liable for delays, schedule changes, property damage, or pet injury resulting from such circumstances.

FUTURE BOOKINGS

By entering into this agreement, the Client authorizes Purrfect Neighbour to accept future reservations made by telephone, email, text message, online booking, or other approved communication methods.

Purrfect Neighbour may enter the Client's home as required to perform agreed-upon services without obtaining additional signed agreements for each reservation.
